Scoiattolo consolidates its commitment to sustainability with the EcoVadis Bronze rating

Scoiattolo effectively continues its path towards sustainability and the consolidation of responsible practices in all areas of the company. An important step in this process was the recent achievement of the EcoVadis rating, the prestigious award that rewards the most virtuous companies in ESG (environmental, social and governance) performance.

The 2024 report saw the company position itself in the 73rd percentile of the companies evaluated, meaning that Scoiattolo's impact on sustainability is more positive than the 73% of companies that have carried out the EcoVadis report. Following this score, Scoiattolo received the "Bronze" badge, that is, the one dedicated to 35% of the companies with the best scores in the last year, a recognition that reaches the second year of evaluation, demonstrating the company's commitment to these issues.

A leading sustainability intelligence platform for global supply chains, EcoVadis provides a detailed assessment of companies' performance in key areas such as the environment, labour practices and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement. The evaluation method is based on internationally recognised standards and the analysis of the information provided through a detailed questionnaire, with documentary evidence, is intended to examine the company's performance in the areas under evaluation.

The EcoVadis recognition is part of a broader path towards sustainability that Scoiattolo has undertaken in recent years. Among the latest milestones are the annual publication of Sustainability Reports, the construction of the new plant with photocatalytic materials for the decomposition of pollutants and the improvement of air quality, the study for the implementation of photovoltaic panels on the current plant and the one under construction and the recent financing of 10 million euros received by Intesa San Paolo to promote sustainability and innovation.
